Help to Cure Synonym-itis!

Help to Cure Synonym-itis!

Dr. Phyllis Stewart and I have been talking. We're bemoaning the fact that, as novelists, there aren't enough synonyms for words we often use. So, we need your help!

Take a look at the following list of words:

1.) smiled
2.) looked
3.) said
4.) sighed
5.) laughed

Your assignment is to:
a.) provide an interesting and brand-new synonym for each one,
b.) offer your new word's definition and then
c.) present a sentence using your new word in its correct context:

***

Example-- (by our own good Dr. Stewart:)

1.) "himpered"

Definition: smiled, lifted the lip corners in joy.

Sentence: She himpered at him as they stood in the moonlight.

***

Good luck!
