Poetry Contest
Write a Reverse poem for this contest. These poems mean one thing when read from top to bottom, but the meaning or sentiment changes when you read each line from bottom to top.
In a Reverse poem a line, word or idea complements the line, word or idea that follows; read in reverse, it contradicts it with an opposing message.
Shakespearean Reversed Poetry
A classic example of this kind of poetry is in Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream," Act Five, where a chorus, telling the audience what a great play he is presenting, actually gives the reverse opinion.

Worst Day Ever

Today was the absolute worst day ever
And don't try to convince me that
There's something good in every day
Because, when you take a closer look,
This world is a pretty evil place.
Even if
Some goodness does shine through once in a while
Satisfaction and happiness don't last.
And it's not true that
It's all in the mind and heart
Because
True happiness can be obtained
Only if one's surroundings are good
It's not true that good exists
I'm sure you can agree that
The reality
Creates
My attitude
It's all beyond my control
And you'll never in a million years hear me say that
Today was a good day.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 20.00 member dollars. There are 14 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
