Poetry Contest
The topic for this poetry contest is: ENTER TOPIC.
Write a poem of length about a person living or dead that was in some way at one time or another a perosn in the public eye for however long (A week, a year, decade, lifetime), creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
There are two guides for this contest-it must be a poem of length (at least 14 stanzas, more encouraged!) and it must be about something or someone real. A person, people or historical figure.Ideally it would be about someone in the public eye-whether unknown and you tell their story through the poem, or well known and you put your spin on their lives through the poem.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 45.00 member dollars. There are 7 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 80.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
