Sensuality
The topic for this contest is "sensuality", as the Oxford dictionary states:
"The enjoyment, expression, or pursuit of physical, especially sexual, pleasure. Synonyms: sexiness, sexual attractiveness, voluptuousness, sultriness, seductiveness, passion; sexuality, eroticism; physicality, carnality.
The condition of being pleasing or fulfilling to the senses.
The words "sensual" and "sensuous" are frequently used interchangeably to mean "gratifying the senses", especially in a sexual sense. Strictly speaking, this goes against a traditional distinction, by which sensuous is a more neutral term,relating to the senses rather than the intellect, as in "swimming is a beautiful, sensuous experience", while sensual relates to gratification of the senses, especially sexually, as in a "sensual massage".
The only rule is that there are no rules, with the recommendation of avoiding vulgar language, if possible (if not, we are all adults, after all). All types of writing allowed, previous winners welcomed, let's have fun!
Write a story that somehow incorporates the topic. The story does not have to be specifically about the topic. But should clearly incorporate the topic into the story.
Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Minimum length 700 words. Maximum Length 7,000 words. Recommended length 2,000 - 3,500 words.
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool which is based on the number of entries. The second and third place winners will each share the remaining prize pool. The prize pool is currently 40.00 member dollars. There are 10 spots still open. If all open spots are used the prize pool will be 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
