Through life, we never know what lies ahead
And there are times we need a helping hand
Like children we can easily be led
And only mums can really understand

Each time I took my problems to my mum
She'd rock me in her arms and dry my tears
And through her love serenity would come
She kept me safe from harm throughout the years

Now mum has gone and I feel so alone
Her wisdom always guided me along
But though she's gone her words I'll always own
Her wisdom calls to me just like a song

"Just have a little faith," my mum would say,
"And pray to God; He'll help you in His way."
