The stress of moving

Moving Home

by Sandra Stoner-Mitchell

Many people told me moving home can create stress
Organising packing, trying not to leave a mess
Very few are not affected, some will shed some tears
If you're leaving what you've called your home for many years
Never underestimate the power of your brain
Grieving as you're leaving those you might not see again.

Have a little sympathy, and give yourself some time
Open up the flood gates, let the tears come; that's no crime
Make a mental note to keep in touch while you're apart
Each new day brings memories to keep safe in your heart

After moving back to the UK, we left many friends behind who we might never see again. It's lovely to be home though. :)
