My New Friend

I watched a bumblebee
enjoy the blossoms new.
He hovered o’er each bloom
and gave each one its due.
It was a joy to see.

He found his own lunch room
and had it to himself
while working very hard,
a black and yellow elf,
when finished, off he zoomed.

But first, flew ‘cross the yard
and lit upon my chair.
My heart was full of glee,
I loved he landed there,
few seconds, dropped his guard.
