A Fusion Sonnet for Potlatch Poetry

Always Wonders to See

by damommy

How dull the world would be without the things
that Nature has in store,
the miracles galore,
too many to ignore.
With wonders all around, my glad heart sings,
and I feel overwhelming peace
while all my tensions find release
in these delights that never cease.

What if there were no flowers to be seen?
What if there were no trees or meadows green?

Blue skies after a rainy day, the changing of seasons,
flowers poking up through the snow, all part of
a never-ending cycle
of a wonderful world that has been gifted to us,
filled with wonders to be found and enjoyed.

How dull the world would be without these things
we see each day, the happiness it brings,
like baby birds discovering their wings.
We can soar in glories like the butterflies
if we remove that dull veil from our eyes.

How dull the world would be without the things
of wonder all around.  My glad heart sings.
