A.V Writes: Nationalism- A Turbulent Factor The word â??Improvementâ?? has a deep, sophisticated and an endeavoring meaning to it. It does not mean an overnight upheaval or even a revolution; it simply means a slight positive progress. â??Improve the worldâ?? is a famously broached topic. Yet the topic in question has not gained mass popularity due to the turbulent factor that is nationalism. Nationalism evolved a long way back with the fundamental perspective of unity behind it. Yet its evolvement has not kept pace with our development which has consequently led to widespread disunity across the globe. We have a prolonged list of problems facing us today; overpopulation, depleting water resources, fading energy reserves such as fossil fuels, inflation, pollution and global warming. Nations have fore longed tried to improvise their territories. However; their temporary affixes have only aggravated the problems in question. For instance; many countries have produced very large chimneys for the removal of industrial gases; this has ascertained the removal of these highly intoxicating pollutants from their country but incurred problems in other countries where the pollution â??fellâ??. This serves as an unjust example of a temporal affix. The aforementioned example also emphatically negates that unity is an inexorable imperative for any future improvement. |
