Arnold Greenberg: I was born many years ago at a very early age but now live happily in an off the grid cabin in the woods in Maine where I write everyday beginning at 4 am. I was a former educator and founded and directed three schools, one of which is still going over forty years later. For many years I was a baker and owner of The Left Bank Café, a popular place that was also a major concert venue featuring legendary folk, jazz, blues and bluegrass performers as well as poetry readings and plays. I am an avid gardener and keep a big garden. I live a simple quiet life, but like Thoreau who said, ??I have traveled far and wide in Walden,?? everyday for me is a journey somewhere. I write poetry, short stories and novels. My Atlantis Trilogy includes Twins of Atlantis, Daughters of Atlas and Children of the Dream and is based on extensive research about the Lost Continent. My newest novel, Spam tells how a retired English professor turns his suburban property into an organic farm in suburbia angering his neighbors, especially when his actions inspire homeless people to take over abandoned houses on his street and creates a small revolution by also making big vegetable gardens instead of lawns. Spam is also available on Amazon??s Kindle. I have three books of poetry: Journey Homeward based on my days working on a Norwegian freighter. Sisyphus is a book length poem based on the Sisyphus myth and Morning Songs, a collection of poems written at dawn over several years. Arnold Greenberg East Blue Hill, Maine |
