LeslieJo: I write what I feel. Whether it be a short story about a friend or family member, but mostly poetry at present. I'm looking to expand my horizon's to writing in different formats and genre. I love the English language with it's variances and complications which make it ideal to express a feeling or concept with such detail as to change another's perspective or alter their emotions. Simply by applying pen to paper you can effect change in so many ways. To do this, English is the present day language for artistic expression, in my opinion, and you have to have a strong command of it to make a difference that will be accepted across all language and cultural barriers. For it doesn't translate to match any specific other language. Where other languages are limited in their flexibility, English has no set boundaries. I love that! |
