I'm a wop from NYC--first generation. Thanks to a war, I escaped from the streets. Have lived many places---some I actually liked. Fairhope, where I am presently living, is on the Alabama Eastern Shore---in the middle of Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico during most of the hurricane seasons. It is the home of Forest Gump. It is a very pretty little, artsy, craftsy town. Really a meca for authors, poets, artist, actors etc.
