Linda, I really love your writing style. It's always easy to see the "state" you are in. This poem is so full of anticipation, excitement, and finally the desire to get HOME. Great vacation poetry and seems like you had a great time, too.

I thought your heart was broken, but glad to see that it was just a prequel to the love that found you!!! I enjoyed your use of alliteration.

Depression Will Always Suck by ExperiencingLiphe

This is such a touching acrostic that really captures the essence of depression...the masks we wear, the sense of being alone, the hopelessness...it's all there. Just one question though, Is there more than one number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline? The last time I had to use it, the number was 1-800-SUICIDE. So, yes, I'm living proof that it does get better, even if there are setbacks.

Kudos for Koko Cried! I've watched the video of Robin and Koko several times, always touched by it, and usually for a different reason each time. This was a wonderful tribute to the "humanitarian" side of this man that many only saw as comic genius. Best of luck in the contest!

Thank goodness you replied to my review! The four star rating was an accident. I meant to give it 5, but only because I'm out of sixes!!!

This is a very good free verse with a haunting flow that emphasises your well chosen words to the fullest extent. Well done!

I really enjoyed this sonnet. Though not a big fan of flowery verbage, the sonnet kind of requires it, doesn't it? LOL Good luck in the contest!

I absolutely love romantic poetry that isn't convoluted by flowery language! Great job!
Couplets? I think these are quatrains with an aabb rhyme scheme?

Perfect haiku! Unfortunately, I am out of six star ratings. The imagery is superb and the satori is great. You even managed to convey a season without using the word "spring". I'm quite impressed!

Haha..very cute little limerick. I like that you kept true to the form of being a little naughty with the double entendre in the last line! Best of luck!

Unfortunately, without major outside influences, history is destined to repeat itself and we are doomed to continue the life cycles that we are born into and pass them to our children. Unfortunately the 'geographic cure' is an illusion because our baggage 9blue suitcases) comes with us. Cycles can be broken, but it takes a lot of work and a lot of help from outside sources.
