Hello Sal.

This is a creative and humorous wedding story. You told it in a funny manner and in a couple places left down the readers mind whether or not this was a real kidnapping. That is great writing technique that allows the reader to question the outcome of the story.

When I was a youngster we used to take the new guys snipe hunting. We told the new guy to hold a large bag and we would flush a snipe out of the woods and you need to catch it in the bag. Then we went home and left him out there.

This is a fun story and I would be horrified if that had happened to me! I have been to some unusual weddings in my time. A fight broke out at one wedding and the groom ended up with a bloody nose. Then at another wedding of a good friend of mine, the best man kept calling the new bride by the ex-wife's name! It was very embarrassing. But kidnapping the groom and stripping him naked? Well this would be a memory no one will forget. You entertained me here Sally, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Sally,
I really like this story. It was suspenseful for me --I didn't know if this was a prank or something more serious!
I loved the pacing and humor.
Blessings,
Good luck in the contest.
Cindy
Ps. Jupiter and Saturn are out tonight. ð???

Thank you very much for the excellent review and kind comments. I tried to make a little suspenseful because I didn't want to give it away too soon. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Sending my best today as always from stormy Florida where I cannot see the heavens.
:( I think it's from all the hurricane moisture that has built up in the Gulf of Mexico.

This is a very good and interesting story, Sally. :) With friends like those groomsmen who needs enemies. But for being a real story--- it takes the wedding cake. :) I'm glad Lawrence was found and cured. You could change this typo though, "The bride smiled as tip-toed to her groom," Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much, dear poet. I left out as (she) tip-toed. I repaired it. Thanks, again! Sending you my best today as always,

True love, at its best. I've heard some wild wedding day stories, but this one takes the cake. It certainly worked out. I guess true love really does conquer all. A great story with great artwork and video to go with it.

Oh my! If I were into pranks, I'd find this hilarious (I did laugh about hemming the pants too short. Hope the suit wasn't rented!) But I can't help thinking, oh that poor bride! Great storytelling, Sal!

Just a couple of questions:
knelt to take communion during his nuptials, (was it Lawrence's or Tony's? I guess only the bridal couple takes the communion? We didn't do that so I was a little confused.)

"To the reception please, driver." (Was this Belle? Was she in on the prank? I guess she wasn't but I was surprised she was so nonchalant.)

Thank you so much for the excellent review and stars. I appreciate it so much. The wedding was Tony's and Lawrence drew "Help Me" on Tony's shoes with shoe polish. No, Belle wasnt in on the prank although she saw it coming. So glad you could catch this, dear Helen Sending you my best today as always,

This is most inventive dear Sally, yes, it seems this is a true story, and Lawrence, got what he deserved. This happened to a guy, but on his buck's night, he had a a large read steel ball chained to his ankle, and the missing key was with one of his mates, he had to drive around his mates looking for the missing key, the wedding was due that day. Well done Sally, brilliant story, blessings, Roy

This was an excellent account. But you did have the reader a little worried. somehow you created the slight possibility that it wasn't a rank but that someone else abducted him. The was done in a very clever spirit.

Well, Sally. I don't know what to think or say. But that in no way diminishes my rating for your new chapter. I believe the pranksters took it a bit far even for payback. However, your story is well-written. Your words flow well with great imagery. I could see everything unfold. What a way to start their new life.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

May I suggest:

petal [ pedal ] to the medal

The bride smiled as[ she ] tip-toed to her groom, knowing this would be an unbelievable story to tell their children one day

Thank you for catching those spags. My voice over text misses little things like that and you're good eyesight catches it for me. I really appreciate that and I need it.
