Wow, thank you so much, Loren, to such lovely praise. I hardly know what to say. To say it was poignant to be there would be an understatement. I and the whole crew broke down in tears imagining the horror of it all. We, as the rest of the world, had seen it all on TV. And then I was there!!

Thanks a lot, Robyn. Yes, I've been lucky to have had a very interesting life and, in many ways, I still do. What not with this virus that we all could all be without. But I have to say that I live in a beautiful area which has made it all a bit more bearable.
It was a stroke of luck, as you know that I was elected for that flight. To say it was poignant is an understatement. I will never forget it. Since then I flew into China many a time during my flying days. Thanks again for a great review. Ulla:)))

That was a horrific time, and it hasn't changed in China, it's still a cruel country. I wouldn't want to go to a place who think nothing at all about murdering all those students. I don't know why we even trade with them. It must have been eerie standing there with all those armed soldiers ready to kill you if you made a move towards them. Hello Ulla. I remember the Tienanmen Square incident. The protestors even made their version of the Statue of Liberty called the "Goddess of Democracy." The one thing I remember the most was a single man standing in front of a tank.

I'm concerned it may happen in Hong Kong soon.
