My what a cute poem to go with the two young ones getting ready to kiss. What made me smile was the rhyming of your poem and when there was a voice
saying,
"Hey guys...your five minutes is up for you two!"
"I'm now up and alive for another round with you!"

Thanks Gert, for taking the time to read one of my poems and for the very nice review.
Innocence is golden...too bad it happens only once, but that is why we write about it!
    Thanks again,

This is a cute account. Many of the readers will be able to identify. Our kissing was right in the circle. I wonder if some had a chance to disappear if they would even kiss. I can hear some of the conversations, "Do you really want to do this? Let's just act like we did." This will invite the reader to reminisce about their spin the bottle experiences. I'm voting for this one.

Thank you Liz for reading one of my posts and for the very nice review. WE ALL should have had these experiences growing up...innocence is a one time affair.
    Thanks again,

This takes me back to my pre-teen years. I can remember "spin the bottle." This poem made me chuckle and you rhymed it, too. The illustration pairs well. Nicely done.

Thank you Judy for reading another chapter and for the very nice review. Your review made me smile...thanks for the additional detail.
Confession - I remember playing flashlight at a friend's house and I fell down the stairs when I found the babysitter. Nothing broken and we all had a good laugh.
    Thanks again,
    Dick

This is a duplicate review - I'll take it, I guess?

I never played Spin the Bottle, but enjoyed reliving this experience with the Speaker. Both he and "Billy's Sis" come to life here. Rod

Thanks Rod for reading another one of my posts and for the very nice review. Lots of memories, and I'm glad I have them. This story was indeed fiction though. LOL
    Thanks again Bud,

My favorite part was, "I closed my eyes and hoped she would take the lead.
She leapt into my arms and I almost peed.", because I was not expecting that at all and it was pretty humorous, great way to describe those awkward teenage years!
