So Redd-Lief talks to Piper about his friend, wondering how much he can trust his friend with the knowledge of Piper being elemental, and Piper isn't sure himself yet . I've always enjoyed "science" fantasy and science fiction, because I was an escape artist, particularly when younger, and I haven't forgotten Debi. Oh and music. Being a musician. Well done, blessings, Roy

Another well-written chapter! I am looking forward to seeing how the relationship between Piper and Redd-Leif pans out. A father and son relationship can go in so many directions!

I am pleased that Piper and his father are on the same page now. Will Rupert be able to keep Piper's parentage a secret? I think so unless he gets excited and lets it slip at some point. They are the best of friends. Well done ,Debi> Stay in and be safe. Nancy:)

First-class tale. W.J. Debi, I must remember reading all the previous chapters of this enchanting story. I am a great fan of faeries, but here I meet so many other species of this world of wonders, that I am really curious! Your style is engaging, the dialogs lively and the story as a whole believable.
I am hooked!

The six stars are wonderful and the encouraging comments are wonderful, but that last sentence is what every author wants to hear! Thank you so much!

Aaaaah, so now I have more background... And really well-presented to someone that missed the much earlier installments - great job! Loved this one as it really brought out Redd-Leif's emotions where Piper's concerned with getting all 'explanatory'... :) ;) Thanx for sharing, my lady! ;) Yvette

    Hi Yvette,
I love your comments. I hadn't thought about catching up the reader, just in having Rupert and Piper catch up because they have been separated so long. I'm glad it works for the reader too.
Thanks for mentioning Redd-Leif's emotions. I was hoping to get that across.
I appreciate you catching the SPAG.

"Redd-Leif waved toward the mushroom-shaped seats and they settled in." A great detail!

"Follow your heart, my boy. It will be the best judge." Great advice, even for mere humans.

As usual, I have enjoyed the read.

Hello Debi,
Another wonderful addition to Piper's tale.
The awkwardness between Redd-Leif and Piper reads very well
and seems quite natural considering the circumstances.
I can't see the bond between Rupert and Piper being broken,
but I suspect Captain Burkehart might try to make use of it.
We called the steps in front of our house a "stoop."
I was pleased to see it in the first line, though others might not be familiar with the term. :)
Well done. I'm enjoying the story of Piper.
