Well, that was a tearjerker for sure. And very well written. I was so involved with the story, but there are a couple of typos. I failed to stop and point them out.

Thank you, dear Drew. How kind and generous you are. I really appreciate your kind reviews and constant encouragement. I caught the typos. I usually have them because I am blind. I have blind helps but they are not without flaws. I have a special blind assist keyboard, but I type 100 words a minute and it can't keep up. I've had to slow down to a crawl. My voice over text has a mind of its own and gives me whatever. Somehow, I get it done especially with kind and gracious reviewers like you. I'm typically quick to fix them. I do love to write and this makes it all so worth it. Thank you, again.
Sending you my best today as always,

A most lovely Story #5! You are a most excellent writer. Fiction or not, I had tears in my eyes. I did not realize how long this story was because I was so wrapped up in the story. Much deserving of six stars.

What a beautiful, sad story to read. I even enjoyed your music. Blake Shelton is one of my favorites. I did not find any errors. You did a great job. Shirley

Thank you very much for the lovely review and stars galore, dear Shirley. I am so honored by this. Thank you for checking for errors too, because I typically have them being blind. Blind assist tools aren't perfect and I'm constantly adjusting to become a better writer. Thankfully, I have many at FanStory who kindly offer help. Thanks again, and have a wonderful week. I hope you are well and safe.

PS~ Blake Shelton rocks! Just sayin. :)

As I read, my emotions went from tears, to smiles, and ended with goosebumps. That's fantastic writing. I wish I had higher than a six to give you. Maybe eighteen stars would do. LOl.

My husband said the same thing. He adores these stories. When I ask him to proofread, I hand him a box of Kleenex. I am so pleased you enjoyed this latest one and graced me with six stars. I am deeply honored. I hope to publish all of the in a book by years end. Again, thank you so much, dear Barb. It is so appreciated.

This is a beautiful love story. If this from a book you've written? I found it to be a very love story. It doesn't explain what happened to break up their marriage or how her father knew they would getting remarried but even with those questions it was great to read.

I'm not sure how I missed the previous chapters. At any rate, I love the ending. It's obviously a compelling love story, but I also love how you scatter bits of humor throughout - "people don't go to Denny's, they just end up there." What a great (and true) line that is!

And I , an old guy who still keeps maps in his glove compartment, can hear my kids saying "Does the term GPS ring a bell?"

In a different context some of the desperate expressions of love would seem overdone, but this truly is life and death here and so the full, unmitigated expressions from Joe and Julia ring true.

Mostly, I love that the ending is not sad. None of us who have been lucky enough to know true love in our lifetimes will consider our lives a tragedy when we die.

Joe left this earth fulfilled, and still crazy in love with his wife, Julia.

Thank you for the lovely review and star shower, dear Mark. I love it when a man gets these. It's usually men in a loving committed relationship that follow these. Like you and my husband. I know I have succeeded when my husband gets misty-eyed. Each one of these Letters From Heaven's Gateway is different, with two people involved. Every one has done very well on FanStory, and I will be publishing these in a book of short stories by the end of the year, God willing. Thank you, again. Sending you my best today as always,

Sally, great story that is very well written with a powerful message. God is ready to offer second chances, and we need to be ready to receive them. I think you meant to say "could deny the miraculous turnaround."

Thank you, Bill. I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I am deeply honored by the six stars and kind words. I appreciate the critique, too, and I've have repaired it to reflect the correct wording. ( I had changed that line several times, drat it. Thanks for catching that.) LOL!

This is a tear jerker, Sally. You and your romance stories. You truly, truly have the gift. I know with the right break you could make money writing this stuff.
Personally, my favorite part has to do with the Denny's quote. That's the funniest line that I ever heard. And then, you take the joke and tie it into our lives, where we end up often with no destination guiding us.
Well done, my friend.
