Hi debi. This is one of the best chapters that I've read, although all are terrific. I like this because of the vivid descriptions which carry the reader along as if being there. Great job. Marilyn

"Climbing the rock face to the top of the falls was extremely treacherous"

I personally believe a different synonym to dangerous, such as perilous or threatening, would have fit better in this sentence, for treacherous tends to have to do with treachery or betrayal, which is not something these falls could do or have done before.

Other than this portion of opinion, I really do love this work. It is beautifully written, and I adore the amount of effort you must have put into this in order to create such a variety of creatures and clans of people. If I had to use a fictional book or movie to compare, I would say this reminds of something such as 'The Lord of The Rings'

Thank you for the encouraging review and all the kind comments.

Thank you for pointing out the definition of treacherous. It is probably a regional thing that we misuse. I live in the mountains and people often say a trail or a climb is treacherous. Perilous is more fitting and I have changed it in this chapter per your recommendation. Thank you so much.
