Great idea for this short work and I love the running boots toasts opportunity! Sometimes opportunity can be a fleeting thing and if you don't move quickly, it may pass you by! The picture is perfect for this piece! xoxo

MOTIVATION! Love your words, love the photo! You even know how to say it in these short parameter contests. THIS should be a marketable poster! Great Job, my friend!

Hi Sally. Absolutely. When opportunities present themselves, there's only one thing to do. Go try get them. This is a great three line poem entry, and I wish you the best of luck. Ulla xxx

Wait a minute - are you saying to run toward them or away from them, haha. I've heard of opportunity knocking, but if it's calling persistently, we should look into it. Hugs, Lou

You give sound advice in these three lines; and the illustration matches the theme, as many opportunities require effort to seize.
It has long been known that, for the vast majority of those who can think before their time on Earth runs out, the dominant regret is not about what they did which was was wrong or brought trouble, but about what they could have said or done but did not (no matter the reason).
Accordingly, never postpone or stifle an impulse to smile, to listen, to say a kind or complimentary word, to help someone in need, to express your heartfelt love, or to share a simple hug.
No one understands this concept better than you do.

Dr Martin boots... Mmmm, they take me way back to my youth, loved my docks back in the day, ha ha.
Yep, opportunities need to be embraced, explored and investigated because you just never know what the rewards may be : )) Nice!

Okay, so my son's age. It good to know I'm old enough to be your mother. {Big sigh.} I still love my boots, especially the ones racing to opportunities. My first novel will be published soon. :))

Tonight I saw an opportunity and ran with it. The person seemed interested so I hope I can help her in some ways. People can surprise us, we can surprise ourselves. We just never know what is waiting for us

This is a very inspirational poem. Your use of personification draws the reader in. The reader is challenged to reflect on which direction they would run. Remember with opportunity comes responsibility. Sadly, not everyone is ready for that. Which way will you run, girl?
Well thought out.
