I had to read this with a British accent. I prefer to read poetry aloud. It is the only proper way to enjoy it and get the most from it. The ule sound should draw the read in. It's quite catchy. Well thought out.

My only suggestions are to make it a single sentence and add commas:
I'm Monty, the mule
from Liverpool, wishing you
a very COOL YULE.
or
I'm Monty the mule
from Liverpool, wishing you
a very COOL YULE.
