I am pleased you were inspired by Gloria's poem and chose Pantygynt form as your vehicle. I enjoyed your rhymes and rhythms and the glorious "pose" of the mountain goat. Cheers- Joan

Gorgeous photo choice. Here is the heart of the matter, in my opinion: My trusty camera in my hand,
I wait for it to pose.
And then, as if this day were planned,
it lifts a noble nose.
Best...goat...poem...ever.

This is a beautifully written piece. It is graceful and lyrical in both construction and content making for a sublimely serene and enjoyable read. Well done and thank you very much for sharing it.

Hi Dawn. The image of the gorgeous mountain goat caught my eye immediately. It is the animal which represents the astrological sign of Capricorn. It indicates that through effort they can ascend to the highest heights and from there see far and beyond. Your poem is well done in Jim's new form. Marilyn

Dawn,
So.... you climbed to the top of that mountain to chase that goat for that image. Wow. I had no idea that we should add rock/mountain climber to your list of strengths and talents. As well as photographer! The more we learn, the more we marvel! *smile*
Great photo -- great poem. Fun. Made me smile.
Honestly - This is one of the best posts I have seen using this form. The flow is super and the topic is just jolly. Thanks so much!

Comment from Gloria ....
Aw, this is a terrific Pantygynt, Dawn and what a nice looking mountain goat. I always remember the time many years ago when one of them fell into a mineral pool at Radium hot springs. Surprised us quite a bit, but likely the goat much more. haha
You've done the form beautifully well and Pantygynt would agree. :)

A pretty good opening stanza. A simple yet good second stanza, pretty lighthearted. Another good stanza. A very good ending stanza, I like the last line. Keep up the good work!

Your poem is real and I like the gorgeous picture you took. Such great wording describing the mountain goat; are they frightening creatures...would they perhaps run toward a person?

Thanks very much. I don't think they would ever try to hurt anyone intentionally, but I don't know. :)
