This is a well written story, my friend. I am enjoying all of these creature stories that have been posted recently. They are delightfully entertaining. I don't know how a government can go on strike, but ours (US) has done it as well~Debbie

I think you did a great job giving this hedgehog a personality and a voice, complaining about his nature is being harnessed by the humans who can't even get near him. I loved that ending reference to the madness in England, a nice humorous touch. This brings to mind a video I saw of a woman who took her dog to a hairdresser and had him made up and dyed to look like a giraffe for Halloween. estory
