You romantic soul! Please continue and perhaps you have and I just have not caught up yet. BUT I WILL. THIS is so incredibly sweet. I hope you NEVER quit writing. If your eye condition gets worse, please MAKE that husband of yours your employee. NEVER STOP. Such a gift you have Sally.
AND . . . I am on the upswing healthwise. Had viral bronchitis, plus some stressy (IS that even a word?) things with my sister's Parkinson, but all is well. I probably am not back to 100%, but feel so much better that it is great. Keep producing! :) Wendy

I have to tell you, if this were my daughter corresponding like this with someone she knows so little about, I'm afraid I'd be hiring a private detective to find out more about the guy, and then I'd follow her to make sure she was safe on her blind date. But maybe that's why I married so late in life! I'm a suspicious sort, I guess. Your heroine is very open-hearted, which does add to her appeal! Keep the stories coming!

Hey Sally, I really like the line about his being married to his cell phone. People nowadays are really crazy. Someone once wrote of a woman taking a picture of their meal and sending it off before they could start eating.

I know this is fiction, but I don't think your characters should be spending so much money on each other before being together. Hugs, Lou

It's amusing, she did remember when she'd met him in the hospital and even with detail. You've brought out a bugaboo of mine. I've been in a fancy restaurant and seen a couple who appeared to be on a date. One of them was looking at their phone with head down. Someone was actually on the phone. You, like I, can remember when we only went on faith that we might get a call when we got home. If cell phones were the size of landlines they would have no place on a date. It just wouldn't have even been considered. The phone was home where it should be. Well written.

Thank you so much for the excellent review and insight. It is so appreciated. Yes, Jackson and I have seen many couples who seem to be more enamored with their phonesmthan each other.

Hello Sally, a terrific Thursday to you. I am really enjoying your "secret admirer" story. It's refreshing to know that the idea romance and secret admiration still exists in the mind of people these days, however in these times some people might consider it stalking. lol Oh the times we live in.

Great job my friend I eagerly await more.

Yes, the times we live in have become so unromantic in many ways. Many FS love cynics have already stepped forward. LOL! I don't think you can be a writer or a poet and not occasionally write about love and romance. Robert Frost said all his poems are love poems. He's my kind of guy. Thanks so much for the excellent review and kind compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed this, dear poet.

Well Sally you should write love poetry always. God is love and that is true for everyone that write it. This is a good story. I do have to ask if when you wrote Christmas Eve does the other Eve also belongs? Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the excellent review and kind compliments, Jose. I'm so please you enjoyed it. Yes, according to the Urban Dictionary, Christmas Eve Eve is an acceptable term for the eve before Christmas Eve. (Smiles.) Sending you my best as always,

This sincere reply to the secret admirer's second letter is a delight. Though some other readers are skeptical about his motives, I prefer to be optimistic that this is a real love story and will not go wrong in the end.

Kristin's honest revelations, from admitting to having some quirks to mentioning her past dating misfortunes, are endearing. She proves not to be a gold digger both by confessing her actual expenditure on a dress and desire to spend some of the excess on him instead of herself, and by giving him an MP3 player to hear her recite her Nonet (rather than assume he already had or could find a player if she just gave him a disk).

Kristin makes it clear that she is accepting the date and has already arranged to have that time off from work. She also mentions that his hint about his identity has jogged her memory enough to recall his aviator sunglasses and baseball cap, thereby assuring him that his appearance at the time was acceptable to her.

Revealing her expected back surgery is considerate, as it both admits to her having a back pain issue and explains why he won't see her during that time and her recovery period unless he goes there for that purpose. In any case, she assures him that she has arranged to receive his clipboard letters in timely manner, and expects to be recovered enough not to miss their planned dinner date.

I especially like the closing of her letter with the string of kiss and hug symbols followed by "(Interest compounded daily.)" -- beautiful.

I like the Nonet too, as it summarizes the story and her hopes so far.

Superb, and aptly illustrated.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review and kindest compliments. Your detailed feedback and six star rating mean so much to me, Mike. I'm so pleased you enjoyed my contuing love story and view it with hopeful expectation. You'll not be disappointed. Maybe, you'll be a little surprised by the outcome and twists--or not. You're very perceptive, but I'll try to surprise you. Thank you, again.

I have no idea why a perfect stranger would send a gift card to someone in hospital with money in it and I would be suspicious. I notice she is replying saying she loves this person and sending a gift back? I am totally confused by this letter Sally? It is good to be loved by someone when the feeling is mutual, but I'm not sure this is about genuine love here, love Dolly x

This is the response to Love Letter on a Clopboard, possibility, you missed it. Kristin received a love letter on her clipboard at her nurses station at and he confesses his love for her, He has sent two anonymous letters to her and she has fallen in love with his words and has returned in kind. They have made a date to meet on Christmas Eve Eve, Access 'Love Letter on a Clipboard' chapters one and two, and 'To My Secret Admirer' number one, in my portfolio to catch up. I'm so glad you caught this one and I hope you'll catch up with this tandem love story. These two companion stories end on Christmas Eve Eve, of course,

This is not me although, it could have been Jackson and me in another setting. We had a long courtship and engagement of letter writing. That's probably why this is so believable. Stay tuned, he'll be responding back to Kristin next week in "Love Letter on a Clipboard #3."
Sending you my best today with many thanks,
    Sally :)

-Very nice image, Sally, and a good quote to begin.
-Kristin's reply flows very well as she
shares her feelings about the secret admirer.
-She seems to be in love with him even
though she doesn't really know him.
-I wonder if that is because no one
has ever treated her this way, or if it
might be her own self- image.
-She trusts him implictly, and tells him
he doesn't appear to have any quirks.
-What she shares about her
last dinner date was interesting.
-I'm also wondering how intense her surgery is,
and how she will recover from it.
-It will be interesting to see what develops while
she is in the hospital and how it might
impact on the big plans and the relationship.
-I like the ending and how she sent it to him so
he could listen to it, and for also sharing the poem.
-Very well done; I look forward to the next segment!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, specific comments and generous six star rating. You are so very kind. Your detailed comments help me so much. I'm glad you like the Nonet, as it was a last minute decision. I thought it made it more personal. I wrote the poem in a few minutes, and put it in instead of the another one I had selected by Robert Frost. My husband loved it. He enjoys these stories so much.
Sending you my best today as always, dear Pam.
