This is so true, and never better illustrated than in your three lines.
Following the world situation, it seems that we, as a human race, are tearing ourselvesaway from faith and belief in God in pursuit of all the worldly goods, money, power, dictatorship.
I sometimes wonder why God just doesn't fire the earth and start over.

I am grateful to have achieved (on a good day) the ability to respond to a situation with the knowledge that I am limited in my power to 'fix' things, but there is a Higher Power who is not.

Hi Helena. Faith is a better word in my opinion than hope. Faith implies action, whereas hope implies none. A good entry for the contest. Not sure if it's over or not. Marilyn

I think your comment is even better. It should be entered into some contest. Or maybe since you have said it here, you could change it a little and say something like "faith is the perfect loaner, or make it a one line poem (for the contest coming up) and say, "Faith is the perfect loaner for loners." what do you think? anyway both your writings are very good.

Great contest entry... and it says something we don't often remember. There's so much focus on the bad in the world that sometimes we need a reminder to focus elsewhere. I think this is posted in the wrong category though... the Up Next said it was a story!
