Very emotional story with raw feelings. The road to salvation goes through hell first. What is life? Just a series of ups and downs, one moment you are in heaven the next one you are down to earth. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for sharing this Mike.
this not only brings me back to childbirth growing up in a house with a naval Chief retired after 26 years it would drink himself eventually to death 1972 but also to my first drinking experience only age of 20.
I'm 64 and as I remember drinking rum and coke and throwing it up and then being responsible to take a 17 year old young woman home I was seeing double driving!
As I went over there George Henderson bridge I prayed to God it stated that I could care less about myself just let me get her home by the time I got to the end of the bridge that double vision was gone.
my dad died a horrible death in 1972 of course from liver poisoning and even though I didn't experiencethat part personally as a teenager I had to see this once proud Naval veteran of two Wars die cruelly.
...
in conclusion I carriage and it will I enjoy an occasional drink mostly in Atlantic City casino for free but I have never used it since and I never will!
This is an inspiration and it was very well-written thanks for sharing

Well, my party year was 9th grade and I did everything; but at the end of that, realized the adults were right and put it behind me. I do believe that drinking is meant to be enjoyed occasionally and in moderation.

The good part is that if you catch yourself and stop, the liver is the one organ that can regenerate itself fairly quickly. In my case, I was surprised just how fast. Drinking one's self to death is not uncommon and I regret hearing your news, yet just as with me, to drink or not, is an intensely personal decision.

I appreciate and thank you for this review and sharing with me your experiences. -Mike

So far the best reference to this is from the Jewish Encyclopedia and regarding drinking, it is considered anti-social not to drink, yet drinking to excess is highly frowned upon.

I thank you for this review.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts through your story. I loved the content of what you had to say. You will most likely help many other people. However, your story did have a few rough spots that should be cleaned up so I could not judge it on content alone.
