What a delightful read, very captivating and well written. The picture accompanying this is pretty good. Your rhyming is impeccable and unforced and the consistent syllable count allows the poem to flow effortlessly. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day.

What a mysterious program, and the refrain carries the enigma away like a constant wave that washes our fears:"
I've grown accustomed to the gray--
the in-between
of night and day" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Haunting. The rhythm really gets me and goes so well with the subject. I like how you portray the gray as kind of where you live and then the dark and the light are both foreign in different ways. I find myself feeling the same.

Nice flow and melancholy feel. The "I've grown accustomed to the gray" is moving when compared to all the wonderful imagery throughout.

I only wish there were some notes attached to this posting, so readers could delve into the poem's impetus and theme.

Wow! You did a fantastic job on this. "I've grown accustomed" is one of my all time favorite songs. Your very well constructed poem does grand justice to the original song that it was based on.

Wow, what a struggle. You do grow accustomed to the Grey, that in between right and wrong but believe me the White is the better place to be because you know it's right. Don't accommodate Satan, kick him out he's overstayed his welcome. Tremendous use of words in this very artful poem.

A very well-written poem about the grayness of our lives. We try to live a decent life but often all our efforts just disappear into the gray clouds around us and all our earthly efforts are in vain.

Very nice. It makes me think of the obvious grey hairs slowly taking over my head and face as stress ages me exponentially faster than life itself. It also makes me think of the grey (problems) in our everyday lives and how at some point you grow accustomed to a 'normal' level of misery.

Damn! I just gave away my last 6! Hi Clockwise, how are you? It's been a while. I love this poem and I know a new girl who's going to love it too. I'm going to pass you on to her! :)
