Thanks Barbara. A teacher actually said she is still around so there is hope. I have a feeling the Northern Summer break is not all holidays or vacation for teachers like here some people think our teachers get 10 weeks holiday or vacation a year but I know that is not so! When I worked at Mac U the Uni would be closed down 3 months of the year and then some but we still had work to do and Summer Schools and so on.

Aussie Aussie Aussie! Cool poem! Anything with the word 'dunny' in it gets my attention. It's a good poem... successful rhymes and a relevant message. It sure starts to get expensive promoting our work. I try to review a lot but that takes so much time when I'd rather be writing.
I'm getting about the same number of reviews so not everyone in USA is on holiday. I went away for 2 weeks myself to Airlie Beach/Townsville, from NZ to get some winter warmth, but apparently the weather back home in NZ was great and the Qld weather was overcast and cool with only 2 sunny days out of 14!!

Yeah Lisa Thanks for your great review. Hope you will vote when the contest ends. It is all part of End times mate. Seasons all getting re-arranged. I still remember the odd Christmas Day being wet and cold even.

I don't know. It seems like this place is still pretty busy. People are writing like crazy. If you want to promote a prose work, there are at least 80 pieces ahead of you, and there are probably scads more waiting in line for poetry. Maybe they're too busy writing to do any reviewing! Just be patient. I have a backlog of things to review, but not as bad as I've had previously. Your poem is great fun. I like the humorous tone, and you've done excellent work with your rhyme. judi

Thanks Judi. I am glad you are busy. I guess this got stirred up as I recently did a big promotion and got hardly any lookers and then I realized these three months might be a bit lean. But a teacher even said they are still around so go figure.

Yep I have been reassured today by a teacher no less that some are still around. I think it might be a bit up over like here on our ten week school holidays that teachers (contrary to some parents and students ideas) DO NOT get 3 months break the same as ours don't get 10 weeks holiday a year but you know that having been or still being a teacher yourself. Thanks for the great review. I made a booboo and put this on Tootsie55 by accident but fortunately it was not posted over there yet.

What a clever poem, Sankey. I too have noticed a difference on FanStory. Everyone's on vacation and reviews do come and go. Lots of us are so addicted though that we actually do FanStory while traveling.
