Scripture tells us there will always be wars and rumors of wars. The only way it will be turned around is for God to send His Son to begin the time of tribulation.

Indeed. I remember the words from the Book of Revelation. We have heaped coals on our own heads; man in his selfishness has turned day into night. Thank you Patricia. God bless, Kay XX

This reminds me of John Lennon's song Imagine. Also Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World. If only we could live in peace. Nice entry for the contest.

Hi June, Funny you should say that. I was watching a doco on John Lennon and his song Imagine (words by Yoko Ono) sparked my need to write a poem. Thank you sweet-pea. Love, Kay.

Hello stranger, you have been missed. Sadly, I don't see any improvement in man that would lead to world peace. That doesn't mean I don't hope but just that I don't have that much faith in man to finally put his foot down and say, enough is enough. Lovely work with this one and a great entry for this contest. I sincerely wish you all the best too.

Hello my friend. Yes, I have been away painting, back now. John Lennon's song 'Imagine inspired my poem. We are being led by darkness, and it is up to us to say 'enough is enough." Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed. Love, Kay.

This was a good write, Aussie. I'd love to think it could be turned around, but it seems like it's never going to happen. People are too lazy and apathetic for the most part. But I love your sentiment. Good job.

Rest your weary eyes, then take the time to touch the morning. Love wanders through the early morning dew. Love, Kace.

I so agree with your words and I heard a lecture on radio four once and they deemed wars a necessary evil in our society, they readjust the boundaries and bring the peace back. There is much suffering in war, anger and hate. The ying and yang of life is sometimes too extreme, your poem is well rhymed and heartfelt, love Dolly x

Hello Dolly! Thanks so much for dropping in. John Lennon's song 'Imagine' inspired me to write about world peace. Unfortunately, man has become too lazy over his own fate. He thinks now god is coming down to save him...god is out playing golf! Love, Kay.

Hi Aussie,

Very nicely written, my friend. Both your verse and visual presentation are perfect. I like the quote in your image. Nothing for me to suggest you consider revising. Thanks for sharing. Jan :-)
