Hello Ulla,
What a wonderful, moving story of how you met your father and brother.
It must have been such a surreal experience.
You have captured the feelings very well in this great happy-sad story.
To meet your unknown brother and lose your father all in the same month
must have been incredibly emotional.
Exceptional story.
Best wishes to you.

Hi Robert, what can I say. Thank you so much for the review and the wonderful review. I have to say it was emotional to write but also a great joy. I only spoke to my brother the other day. Sorry to be a bit late in answering, but had other things to do the last couple of days. Thank you so much again for the lovely extra star. Kind regards.Ulla:))

What a blessing you were able to make this connection. I have known several other situations very much like yours and those cases did not work out nicely. Almost twenty years difference in your ages, wow! Your father must not have married for a long time after losing track of your mother.

Thank you so much, Carolyn. No, Dad didn't marry until a few years before my brother Reuben was born, and they divorced a few years after. Not a happy union. He never married again. I've been lucky, I do know. And I'm grateful. All the best.Ulla;)))

-A lovely family home, Ulla,
and a well penned story
about your father and brother.
-The story flows well from
beginning to end.
-You held my interest
throughout, too.
-It is a bittersweet story
since you lost your dad, but
you also gained a brother
and his family.
-That part had to have
been really special.
-I am sorry about your dad
and that you couldn't be there,
but he must have appreciated
hearing your voice each day.
-From your introduction, and your
thoughts about him, I am glad you
found him, as he sounds like
a special person.
-Good luck in the contest;
you got my vote!

I thought this was done with great emotion in the voice and with an honesty that really bared your soul. Its a very moving scene, and the dialogue was emotional and realistic. We are standing right with you as you talk to your newly found brother on the phone. The suspense at the beginning also unfolds nicely as you sit there opening your email. It gets our hearts pounding as this story unfolds in conversations about the dying father who brings you and your brother together at last, after so long. The struggles of life and love come through in this little story, one of the best things I think you've ever written. Most of the time, writing from experience is the way to go. estory

Wow, thank you so much and for the wonderful recognition. Best of all, I'm delighted that you think I've written it well. Although it's going to be part of my biography that I will continue a little later, I just thought it suited this contest. Thank you so much again. Kind regards. Ulla:))

Awe, Rachelle, what a beautiful review. Thank you so much. It was a very poignant time in all our lives, I believe. My brother and I are very close. We speak on skype at least once a month and only last year I stayed with them for a couple of weeks. I have gained a whole new family. Thank you so much again. Ulla:)))

This story brings to life a scripture in the Holy Bible, "Everything done in secret comes to light no matter good or evil." Everything. Ecc: 11-2. A good write. Thanks for sharing.
