I see him. It looks to me as though this bird, or should it be this poem has exscaped from the Wild West Show, along with other interesting friends in fur and feathe such as the rhino-sore-arse and the oozalum bird sometimes referred to as the vanishing pigeon. I am sure Dr Seuss would be proud of you.

Those beasties were from a bawdy song I remembered from my RM days. Just to keep you laughing I should perhaps mention that the song went on to state that the origin of the rhino-sore-arse was supposed to be from the ancient Greek, 'rhino' meaning gold and 'sore-arse' meaning piles so, piles of gold.

This poem DOES have a Dr. Seuss quality, especially when you read it aloud. I think young readers will love echoing Sheldob's "Shoos." and, yes, I do see him hiding there near that tree trunk. Rod
