My parents and in-laws always had hydrangeas growing, and in all those shades too. A lovely rondeau about a lovely flower and I really enjoyed all the creatures that came in to feed on them. Thoroughly enjoyed the read,
cheers.

You have a marvelous way of painting a picture as you tell a story! Words brilliantly guide the reader along on the journey of what you see or have seen. This applies to stories you write for children or for grownups.
This is another poem which deserves every accolade possible.

Beautifully done and as I am venturing more into poetry, this is new to me and a real challenge. You seem to do this effortlessly! You had such nice flow and poetic expression while maintaining your Rondeau form.
All my best,
Sally

This is a SUPERB rondeau--with perfect rhyming and meter,
specific, lively, lovely descriptions. It's not missing anything--
deserving of a 6 for sure! :-)

I think my snowball bush is a hydrangea. It's crazy. Fall a year ago I pruned it to the dirt and the thing was back like nothing had happened by late spring...It has the blue and the white blooms, sometimes both. Like Maple leaf colors, it changes. Mystery. Excellent Rondeau, if ya ask me...

Thank you so much. Yes, I think you have a hydrangea. That's the way they do.

Thank you for this wonderful review. I'm so sorry about your leg. I hope you're up and about soon. I'm still recovering from a total shoulder replacement. It's no fun, is it, being limited!

I enjoyed your descriptive Rondeau about hydrangeas and all its colors. Your rhymes are very effective and I admired your alliteration of "b's" as well. Cheers- Joan

Lovely poem for a lovely flower. We have one on the side of our house. It gets huge and has to be pruned down every few years. The acidity of the soil turns the flowers pink or blue (forget which is high or low acid). We have neutral soil so our blooms are white. They last a lonnnng time, which is a plus.

I've always had blue ones, not trying to change colors. However, I think the other colors are beautiful. Thanks for reviewing.
