You did a great job, Yvonne, why your kryielle. Everything about it is perfect. The picture is awesome and so perfect for your well-chosen words. The color scheme is a great reminder of storms as is the font. Your words read smoothly with great rhymes, too. I could picture this happening as I read it. I love the weather vane in the picture. Your topic is a great one and is well-expressed with your thoughts/feelings. Thanks for sharing a wonderful kryiells. Jan

Excellent. There is something so raw and elemental about a raging storm. Almost no better feeling in the world sitting in a chair by the fire, while the storm screams its fury. I loved this. This is a difficult format to sound unforced throughout. Your poem reads smooth and has great pace. You made me picture times when I have sat protected watching a storm. Great time for contemplation and writing. Hugh

I'm happy it brought back memories. I agree there's no better place to watch a storm than from a fireside chair. Thank you for this lovely review.

A very well-written Kyrielle poem for Potlatch club about the storm that blows everything in its path away and even roofs seem not to be safe at all. The storm wind blows the raindrops into the window.

I love a thunderstorm as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Thank you for reviewing.

Wow - beautifully done! The reader can almost hear the splashing by the time the read is through...great job! Love the contrast between the indoors and the outdoors that you've created! :) ;) Thank you for sharing! :) ;) Yvette

Good Morning,
What a moving Kyrielle filled with keen visual and emotive imagery. As dark and dreary as is the storm you describe, how I love Autumn thunderstorms here in northern Michigan. There is something exciting about being inside - close to a fire and family - when a tempest, as you describe, pays us a visit. Your words draw the reader in...just a delightful read...

Thank you!

Thank you for this lovely review. I, too, like thunderstorms. Such a cozy feeling of being inside with a good fire going. However, it's not cool enough for a fire yet, but the storm cooled things down considerably.

Image, word choice, adherence to the form, this is an exceptional response to the Potlatch call for a Kyrielle. We have had a lot of evenings like that this summer.

This follows the kyrielle pattern perfectly and you have elected to turn your simple syllable count into the neater sounding iambic tetrameters.

You have also chosen to use your refrain line as inegral to the sense of each stanza, not always easy, rather than the easier option of using it as a stand alone refrain, easier but not so satifying. So all in all this is an excellent response to the challenge.

Why, thank you, kind sir. See what your tutoring has done? I could never have done this without you. I loved those classes and the visit that went with them. I hope to take another one soon.

Well done. I like the repeating line you chose. And these are all great words that say STORM, the kind of noisy, lightning filled event, where you're glad you're safe inside a warm house.

crash
gales
torment
clap
tempest
wrath

Thank you, Phyllis. I was inspired by the storm we had today. It's been raining all day. I'm so happy you like this.

Cheers, Damommy;
>I particularly fell in love with your second verse, Damommy, as it tells me to see the metaphor in the imagery explained so very well as I could smell it and feel it and touch it and especially hear it. My cozy chair by the fire listening to the rain, I do that so often that set me right at home. With an occasional reading Fanstory poems.
> Excellent job writing this Kyrielle, Is it reads smoothly the enjambment flows so well and is due also to the excellent rhythm that so contingent and supportive to the rhyming of each line.
> Thank you for sharing this and take care and have a good one especially with all those that love you dearly.

>Third verse third line you may need a comma after "Path".
