Wow!! This is one great thriller story, I couldn't stop reading to the end as I wanted to see what happens. Well done, absolutely love this one, from the picture to the chilling images you create in the reader's mind. You have a great imagination. Do you write any stories? I guess with your poetry and your painting, you are kept busy.
I often wonder what would happen in dreams if you did fall off the cliff, or get caught by whoever is chasing you, because you always seem to wake up before the end, lol.
I loved this and think you should take a bow for it, cheers, Ana.

Hi Ana. Thank you for your kind words. Maybe I should write prose. But you are right. Time is a factor. Whatever I write it will all be lost when I die. Thank you so much for the extra star. I really appreciate it. Thank you also for your delightful review

The wrong door was the right door for the monster is ever deceiving.
This again was well written with great theme and imagery.
It flowed well and read well with no grammar issues as well.

"The Nightmare", is a well-written and somewhat hair-raising piece. This talented poet's work is extremely well-written. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left. You KEEP WRITING and I'll KEEP READING. I look forward to seeing your next post.

This is an exciting poem. The plot keeps you guessing.
It makes you want to read it again. It's scary and spooky.
After reading it you're afraid to retire.
This poem makes one nervous and anxiety could set in.

Exceptional, I relate this work to real life, on the choices we make while in a dream-like state and the outcome depends on our ability to achieve our decision if it is not going to plan we race to try and alter our choice, what a wonderful read, full of questions for the reader and imagination, very well done, thoroughly enjoyable****kahpot

Pam,
Isn't it funny how we are so actively involved in our dreams? It's rather amazing to me, I think. *smile* I'm proud you're doing better each time with your review count. Your poems are always fun and well-composed. Thanks!

That sounds terrifying! I'm not sure I would want to go back and live it again. I have had dreams that were awesome that I woke up too soon from, how disappointing. Really liked this poem and the image you included. Thanks for that...I may not sleep tonight!!!

Comment from Gloria ....
This is terrific, Pam. Perhaps all three doors are the correct ones and it's simply a matter of being brave enough to face one's fear once and for all.
The "monster" in the artwork does have a certain sadness in its eyes, and yes if we can face our nightmares, it does help with our overall sense of well-being.
Very nicely written.

Knowing my luck I'd choose the wrong door ...I'd become unhinged._thats it ! I'd use the door to crush the monster's core. Then with that roach to coach I'd approach..wham bang in its third eye roach will fly...I'm not going to die! Monster...you're roached...
Hugs I love it ..I'm such an insomniac I'd be glad to dream this long...sigh
God bless

Me too. I have bad insomnia too and seldom dream. I had two sleep studies and had no REM sleep either time. I wake up every 10-20 minutes to shift position due to pain in various places. Once in awhile with a sleeping pill, it is better. What a fun review. Thank you!
