Yep I'd still be ...well to be honest not as scared... I mean he's scrawny. I think I could take him. And I'm not a bonefied wrestler by any means..I could pick a bone with you about your poem...they are bones...and he's not going to get you..komodo...of course he could come to life ...then you'd be draggin...actually he'd be dragon..sorry lack of sleep...and reviewing and reviewing well I just have to inject humor...it's the skeleton in my closet...
God bless

Good job, Bill, on your 575. Your syllables are correct per line. The picture is perfect. It does look like a small dinosaur of which we would all be scared in real life. Thanks for sharing. Jan

This is very clever, Bill. Which came first the image or the idea. Perfect compliment of words and picture. And, of course, you adhered to the 5-7-5 criterion for this poem. I have no recommendations for improvement. Well-done! Best, RFL

Of course you would...I used to get scared seeing the dinosaur skeletons at the museum when I went. It just takes a little imagination combined with the actual animal itself or its bones and fear grows. I don't like reptiles anyway.....maybe a series on kittens next? Just a suggestion.

Hi, Bill. I take it there's a predecessor to this poem which I haven't seen. They are certainly scary beasts. I've seen them in the zoo and occasionally seen baby brother, the water monitor, roaming in Singapore and Malaysia. I certainly wouldn't want to meet a hungry or angry one.

Skeletons, though? I reckon I could tackle one of those!

Steve

I wonder if this one died of natural causes or someone had to wrestle it into submission and skin it.

Knowing these critters, it was probably killed and eaten by another one of its kind!

Love those Komodo dragons. Their skeleton is impressive and does give me a sense of awe. I would not like to be too close to one but I do enjoy seeing them at the zoo. This is the first poem I have read about this unique and ancient animal.
