You have room in a poem of this lengths to really get to grips with the problem. i jhave just finished writing ahead enough tanka poetry to keep my posings up whren I am away on vacation and took as my theme the effects of mankind's interaction with the natural world, so we are in agreement on this one.

There's so many places in the world this is happening, whether it's environmental encroachment or its climate change, there's so many things going on in this most unfortunate world. Very touching narrative encased in smooth metric rhyming stanzas, well done, blessings, Roy

You got my vote. This write in my opinion pounding in expressive conveyance, finding one sway in its course flow: The farmer living off this field has planted here for higher yield. Just my opinion. Great story.

Hi Pam, what a wonderful poem that goes with your lovely painting. Your poem is beautiful and tells such a lovely story of a mother deer and her son's struggle to survive. It was so sad in places but had a happy ending. Wonderful rhythm and imagery as well. I liked it a lot. All the best. Ulla:)))

Pam, my friend, were you a deer in your former life?
This is an absolutely delightful poem. I enjoyed reading it very much.
I am very impressed with the amount of poems that you post. Do you just write non stop
or are some of the poems previously written? Take care Jen.

A very well-written poem expressing the thoughts of a deer and her fawn finds a green field with juicy leaves the closest thing to be in deer heaven. What more can a deer ask for?

Pam Pam, Deer Heaven such a creative idea for such gentle creatures. They way you describe the deer lifesyle and how the mother nutures and protect her young is so compassionate. And the desription of the chariot ride is breathtaking.

Deer are always hunted by man for their meat and of course it is not necessary today as we have more than enough food to eat. I liked your take on 'deer heaven', great rhymes, love Dolly x
