Two interesting tails in one. Good work, as usual.
Disney should make a film about this pair of canine cut-ups.
Typo: . . . held her big cup of water was well . . .

Cute story about the lovelies and the need for coffee. Very easy read. I hope the trip to the groomers went well. I enjoyed the story and simplicity of the story line.

Very cute way to tell us how you are doing without coffee, Patty. It makes sense that your furry friends would know your habits the best and are keep observers. Hang in there! Hoping and praying you can make the transition. Chocolate is still okay, right?

Hi, Helen,
I think after the gastric bypass I won't want to waste the room in my small (egg-sized) tummy for chocolate. Such a sad thought!
This journey is something I need to do. I have stated I want to be alive when my grandchildren get married. Hailey will be four in August, and Logan is only two.
I need to get myself healthy AND mobile,

Dear patty, Your two dogs figured out that you need coffee! They must be very smart animals, and I'm glad you have them. They have been the subject of a lot of your very good short stories. Dove

Hi, Dove,
Yes, the boys do tend to know and understand me better than anyone. I appreciate your compliments about these little stories. They are fun to write when I take a break from my novel,

I believe both dogs and cats can tell when there is something bad and something good happening to their owner. I know my dog always knew if I had a good night's sleep. She would hide under the couch if I had not. Fun and well written story that brought back some fond memories.

Well, knowing dogs the way I do, if the key person in their rather small is disturbed, so is the daily perspective is also. Poor people, they know and sense, that one wrong move on their part, is going to upset their applecart, never mind folk, the drying out process doesn't last forever, well done Patty, "a rocking boat gathers no fish" blessings, Roy

Hi, Roy,
My little boys have been very concerned while I go through the caffeine withdrawal process. They seem to be much quieter than usual, and when someone comes near the door, I only need to say 'Quiet' one time.
I'm sure things will be back to normal in just a few more days,

Poor little boys, they're not silly, very plugged in

At first when I seen this was a biographical Non-Fiction. I thought you might have missed categorized it, due to you were writing what the dogs were thinking. Then I realized my dog was looking at me to tell me it's time for a walk. Very nice story.

Hi there,
I had to classify it as non-fiction because it REALLY is happening to me. I am in a horrible mood and I just sit on the couch like a lump because my head and neck are in horrible pain.
...just a few more days,

Good afternoon, Patty
Enjoyed the post. So Bernie and Howie can tell things are not right with you, and since they don't know what to do, retreat to the comfort and security of their blankets.
Take care and stay safe,
Ray

Hi, Ray,
Yes, my poor dogs know exactly what is wrong with me. They are coming to me very gently and I can hear them as they sneak off into the recesses of the bedroom.
I am feeling a bit better this morning...

I can relate to your distress at the prospect of having no coffee for the rest of your life. My wife tends to restrict me a little bit on my caffeine supplement as I sleep badly after too many cups of coffee and, as a good married couple, when I can't sleep, neither can she.
Hang in there, mate, we're prayin' for ya!!!

Hi there,
Thank you for the prayers as I go through this part of the journey. I have a coffee headache that is excruciating, but I will persevere!
