Better not get into too deep a rut because the coyote might just be hanging around waiting for a chance to pounce and devour. You must vary your route and your routine so that no predator can predict where you might be or what you might be doing at any time.

A very nice five-seven-five, Bill. The alliteration really stands out and the "r" words are an excellent choice! Thank you for sharing some fine penmanship and clever word choices!

This is a very cute and well written short poem about the roadrunners race. You used very good and very cute words with good imagery to go with your words. I enjoyed reading and reviewing it. Blessings, Teri

You do have a penchant for finding the strangest photos out there! I have to wonder if these are roads or if the sign is an interesting conversation starter.
At any rate, your 5-7-5 is catchy, and I like it!

An alluring and altogether clever act of alliteration announced in this anecdote. Enjoyed, entertained, enticed, and enlightened me.

Sounds like these guys are in a rut. Excellent use of alliteration. Could be a tongue twister. Relentlessly adds to the description. I can't believe the road signs--Roadrunner Rut and God's Way Love. Which direction to choose? Maybe the roadrunners keep choosing the wrong direction. judi

Gosh, that's a tongue twister. Great job. Love the sign.

You'll get a lot of material out of the roadrunner and Wyle E. Even without them, it's an interesting subject.

Not sure I really understood this one, Bill, cause it seems like a runaround, but then again maybe that is the point, yes?

A fun read nonetheless and a most odd place to have a road sign. LOL.

I was heading off to sleep until your title drew me in. I just had to read it. What clever use of alliteration. I tried saying it fast five times. What a fun entry. I hope that you win.

Yep Bill that's the lifestyle of the Roadrunner alright. Continously running, running, running. My mind goes back to the days when I was a kid watching the Lunny Tunes and the kyote was always trying to catch the roadrunner. Great poem best wishes for you in the contest
