A well told, yet heart wrenching story from deep within. We often don't understand why young ones are taken from us this way. Yet, you keep Jason's memory alive and he gave life to 4 unknown souls. After all, we are defined by what we leave behind. If I had a six left, I would give it to you. Best, Rona

Such a tragic story. I hope writing it was a helpin the grieving process. I like the way you broke up the story. You are very good with words. The cliff hanger at the end was a pleasant surprise.

WOW! What a tragic story in poem. Written like journal entries, it actually took me back to 2003, like it just happened yesterday. Very well written...so very sad.

Hi. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. It's what works for YOU. If reliving that day over and over helps you to process is I am not the one to tell you no to do it. If it serves to make you relive the pain over and over and over I'd only ask, is this what your son would want for you? He gave life to strangers with his organ donations, I'm sure he'd want you to find peace...

Exactly my friend. Let no one tell you that you ought to be over it, or work the steps of grief. it is what it is in your heart, my friend-and you honor your son always.

This is a nice poem about poet's son Jason who died young, an accident snatched a life; a father feels what is the victory; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR
