I think Pons is the one on the left. He looks older and smarter (if one can determine that from a photo, and I think you can sometimes.) I always enjoy Ned and Pons, but I am curious--who are these guys?

I have been looking around for a likely pair to represent the duo when we go to print (wishful thinking). I was at my niece?s graduation party and saw my nephew and my other niece?s husband talking to each other. One is a math genius on his way to Princeton, and the other writes code for some classified organization in the government. I asked them to pose to see if they looked good together. I didn?t tell them that one character was decidedly dumber than the other.

That's great, Bill! I hope they like being the faces of your characters.

Believe it or not, it is somehow comforting to see that Ned is just as ignorant as he has ever been. Some things should not and probably must not ever change.

This is great, and cleverly don for graduation time. Ned is his usual clueless self. Humorous lines about Bill's name. Ned is so good natured for all his cluelessness. Some of the verbal exchanges remind me of some of the old radio shows. The lines about photoshopping Ned's picture to have some of the Neanderthal airbrushed out are an example. You might identify Bill a little bit, as I don't remember him being in any other skit. Maybe Pons could say who he is. Funny stuff. As to the pictures, the guy on the left looks a little brighter so maybe he's Pons. The one on the right doesn't look ditzy enough to be Ned, but he might work. judi

Thanks, Judi for the helpful review. I'm at a loss on these guys. I was at my niece's graduation party and I saw my nephew and my other niece's husband standing together. I had been thinking of someone to represent the pair and a light bulb clicked on, so I took their picture. I am sold on them at this point, but hope that one won't be upset to be the dim wit.

I think the one on the left is Ned. He looks so happy in his ignorance. lol

I don't know how you come up with those words and then spell them. Good job.

So far the views are mixed. I thought I had it figured, but I suppose I'll just let the readers figure it out.

You made me smile and this is such American style humour! I think Ned is the one on the right of the photo! A very lighthearted and inventive right, Love Dolly x

You chose my preference for Ned as well. He?s actually a math genius headed for Stanford. The guy on the left does hush hush coding for the government. Thanks for reading, Dolly.

A couple of clever bods then, love Dolly x

Hi Bill,

The photo is a good one. Seems like a good fit as I've read a few of these, I can see it.

Another nice piece here. It's easy enough to follow phonically. lol

good stuff

Thanks, G. I saw my nephew and my niece?s husband at a graduation party and thought they might pass for Pons and Ned.

You tell 'em, Ned. Bill SHOULD be called Willy, since William starts with Will, not Bill. Unless his full name is Billiam, which I don't think it is. Good thing you were there to straighten Willy out. Keep up the good work, Ned.

Gotta love these guys. :)

There?s a back story to this. As a teen I worked at a gas station. That?s back when we actually pumped the gas, fixed tires, changed oil, and worked on shocks and mufflers. My boss rented uniforms for us with our names sewn on them. They didn?t have any ?Bill? tags, so he got me one that read ?Willy?. I laughed it off and wore it daily to greet customers and absorb the grease and grime of work. After a summer of that, everyone, inclouding my sister and friends, called me Willy. That was 1974. When my sister calls me nowadays, she calls me Willy.

They had Willy tags but not Bill? LOL! Of course it stuck with you, but I prefer Willy anyway. :)

This tells a funny, light hearted, chitchatting in conversation between two friends at a graduation party, after a gossip they had a photo; briefly covered the scene so realistic; well said, well done. Keep Writing -- DR ALCREATOR

Poor Pons! He has to be the social coach for Ned but it's an impossible job. Maybe Ned needs a hearing aid? Timely to have a graduation party scene with all the humor.

Thanks, lyenochka. I?m testing out these two to represent Pons and Ned if I publish these scenes. What do you think?
reply by lyenochka on 04-Jun-2018
"These two" meaning the picture of the two young men? They are nice-looking dudes. But I can't tell which one would is Ned and which one is Pons. The the guy on the left has your smile. Or did you mean this script and another?

This was too funny. I laughed all the way through it. Good script although it left me wanting more acts with these guys! I pick checkered shirt and full beard for Pons. Sweater guy has to be Ned. Nice work.

Thanks, Hugh. That seems to be the consensus for who is who. They?re both high speed mathematicians in reality.
