I love this poem and the picture is a perfect fit. In a week where we have seen a lot of rain here in Florida it rings so true.
thank you for sharing such a lovely work.

Last half of the first line---glad to see that, so did I. Alberto has been lambasting
us with short but noisy downpours so your Rondeau is most fitting Looks excellent to me.

This is a beautifully written Rondeau. The rhyming and flow are outstanding. Image is perfect. Truly a wonderful poem. I like how you have thought to bring pine needles into the piece. Marilyn

Lovely Rondeau damommy, with beautiful descriptions that almost makes one feel we're in a rain shower. Your refrain line works great, and though I hate the dreary rainy days, I really enjoyed this one.
cheers.

Your Rondeu is a hit so great job on this. Hey Damommy, what an interesting write. You invite us to see the world through soft, gentle raindrops. Good job. yours, diana

I like the entire first part the very best with the rain vanishing in the fog like thieves. Rain does have a very mesmerizing effect on the mind when idle. I think you did a great job with the poem, loved ever word of it and certainly do appreciate you sharing it . Have a blessed day.

I really enjoyed this poem, Yvonne. It has excellent descriptive quality. I liked the way you composed this in a mixed meter format, with the last line of stanza two and three at six syllables while rest of the lines had eight. Great job!

Take care,
Russell

Very well done. A colorful way to tell a mini-story about a rainfall. I had just watched a youtube video about tsumanis when I read this. It's surprisingly similar in how the wave grows stronger, destroying all in its path, and then recedes for the last time leaving it peaceful... but with total destruction. I suppose a heavy rain can do that to ants, etc. :)

It probably seems that way to ants, but I've read they can live submerge for 14 days. There goes the idea of drowning the little suckers. lol

Thank you for a lovely review.

This is a well written poem with nice use of the repeating line, Yvonne. Great use of alliteration. Great job on the challenge and an enjoyable read!
