Very nice and very bittersweet and nostalgic for me as my Mom and Dad did this for years as well as teaching catechism and wedding classes. Thanks for the memory and congratulations to you.

This is an honor and a calling. Not everyone would be appropriate to understand the responsibility involved. Good for you that you serve your Parish and God in this manner. I am sure the Priests appreciate it!

Your poetic descriptions of your roles in the church are quite compelling. (Is that a picture of you?)
My father-in-law was a lector for years at our church, and when he died in 2003, he was made an extraordinary minister posthumously by our parish priest.
