Lol. I guess there is a lot of sibling rivalry between these two sweet pups. But I bet they would worry if one were missing. Thanks for giving us a peek into a day with Bernie and Howie.

Hi, Helen;
Yes, these little boys are much worse than my children ever were; they are constantly vying for my attention and time. I do love to write about them though, and they are the best company.
And, unlike my children did in their teen years, they do NOT talk back,
Thank you for reading,

Hi Patty. I was so upset to read this: "Placing her fingers at the base of his ears, she scratched on his favorite spot, and Bernie went to doggie Heaven." I started reading the story from the beginning all over again to see if I missed something. It sounded as if Bernie died "went to doggie Heaven." I re-read everything carefully and realized you meant that Bernie was zoned out because of his ear rub. WHEW! I was so relieved. Other than that misunderstanding, a great segment about Bernie and Howie. Marilyn

Oh, no!
I'm so sorry I scared you.
If something should happen to either of my 'boys,' I'm not sure, but I don't think I will be able to write for some time.

I understand completely, Patty. I have "lost" darling pets while being on FS. It actually helped me to write about them, but not without crying as I wrote. Let's hope our dear fur babies will be with us for a long time. Marilyn

Cute names for your canine friends Your writing was very spontaneous and very observant of the behaviors of your canines. A very delightful tail waggler.

Dogs are like children, always seeking attention. This s very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very interesting read. There is very good imagery.

Not you had not written about Bernie and Howie for quite some time. All the more I enjoyed this delightful domestic sibling rivalry and cosy hominess.
Dancing around her feet, they each took a treat when it (was) offered.
He licked his lips, and he settles(settled) down for a deep sleep.

Hi, Aki;
Thank you for catching the nits. Yup, the boys were clamoring for a story about them today. Bernie threatened to go on a doggy strike and not sleep with me anymore.
I'm glad you enjoyed the tail...tale

I love your Howie and Bernie stories. I completely understand. I have had jealous dogs and jealous cats. They each one to believe they are my favorite pet.

Hi, Barbara;
Yes, as I'm writing now, I had to let Bernie climb in my lap. So, Howie is lying across my feet. We've had a day full of insecurities. Thank you for reading,

That's cute. They're just like kids, each thinking the other gets more attention. A few weeks ago I was tempted to adopt a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie cross) But the cats wouldn't have been impressed and I'm at work too much to look after a dog. The snuggles would have been nice, tho.

Hi, Cindy;
Bernie is a Morkie. Yes, cats and any type of terrier will not mix well.
Now, Howie was raised with a cat and he loves them.

A very well-written story about Howie and Bernie. They are always a treat to read about, and I enjoy their little competition to get the mistresses attention.

I've missed them, Patty, it was nice to see them again and have a smile at their antics to get your attention. Bless them. I hope you didn't forget to bring your parcel in. Well done, my friend, don't let them stay away for so long in future. :))Sandra xx
