Everyone seems happy, so this sounds like it's very near the end. Is the grandfather happy too? Does he ever acknowledge Francis and treat him like a normal person? If so, I missed it.

Joe should have a good life now with his loving family, enlarged by Francis, which he sees as a bonus, not a chore. Jacob and Francis will have a chance to grow closer... nothing to prevent that now.

What might Veronica be needed for now? I hope those powers that be are paying her well. They are disrupting her life without even asking! If I were her, I'd try to negotiate a better deal. :)

Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the lovely 6 stars and wonderful review. Joe and his Two parts left, which is one chapter in the book. The ending will lead into the next book, the last in the trilogy. Thank you for all your support, my friend. Big hugs! Sandra xxx

Hi, Sandra. You continue to write engrossing chapters, my friend. Excellent imagery throughout.

Suggestions if I may: Change this paragraph for more clarity:From:

"When Jacob stepped into the room, everyone's eyes turned from him back to Francis. The resemblance was uncanny. There was no denying Jacob was Francis' father.

To" When Jacob entered the room all eyes turned back and forth between him and Francis. The resemblance was uncanny. There was no denying Jacob was Francis' father.

And: " Joe smiled back at me just as Rosie came looking for him, and I felt the familiar tingling in my body...." Try "Joe smiled back at me just as Rosie came looking for him, and I felt the familiar tingling throughout my body."

Good write as usual, my friend. :) Bob

Hello
Im reading this and writing this as fast as I can before my computer dies. It is flashing and will die in one minute. I loved your chapter. I don't know how you can continue it but I am waiting for that.

Take care,

This is a feel good chapter, Sandra :) Everything is coming together nicely. You have excellent story telling skills, and I'm sure you'll write many more wonderful books to come.

I'm a bit better today. I did a few chores around the house. Now I'm in bed reviewing while drinking a mug of chicken noodle soup. Eating isn't desired yet. My two dogs are sticking close to me.

Another fine chapter, well rounded off with Joe's story and Francis & Jacob. I want to know more about what's going on with Mildred. Love that last line. lol

but Joe an' me knows that be your right.'- I think your should be yer here, to preserve the dialect.

Will you say goodbye to Daveth or me? - for me.

Thank you again for finding those nits, Gareth. I think they hide from me when I'm going over it, lol. Mildred, bless her, she is really tired after her heart attack, they say it can take months to recover. All will be revealed in the last two parts, which is the last chapter in the book. It conveniently leads on to the last book in the trilogy. :) Thank you, Gareth, for always being so thorough with you reviews, I really appreciate you taking the time. It's reviewers like you that help me improve so much. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra, Oh, I'm so worried about Mildred. I do hope it's only a question of time and more rest, and she will be as good as new.
And Veronica got closure to how everything went for Francis and all the family, incuding Jacob.
Another wonderful chapter and again so well written. All I can do now is to wait and see what's to happen next.

This was lucky, I just have a couple of hours to myself, and I thought I'll just have a quick look at FS, and there you were! I'm having a wonderful time and the time is flying. I hope all is well with you. Hugs from a warm Massachusetts. Ulla xxxx

Bless your heart, thank you so much, Ulla, for the lovely 6 stars, and even lovelier review. Yes, the heart attack took a lot out of poor Mildred, but she's so stubborn, she won't let it stop her doing things. :(

I'm so pleased you are having a lovely time, my friend. It's strange how the weeks drag when you are looking forward to something, then when it's here, it's gone in a flash! Enjoy it while it lasts. :) Big hugs, dear friend. :) Sandra xx
