Oh this chapter is bittersweet. Will she see them again? Saying good-bye to them is hard. I was having fun living in both worlds.

I love the way you have her transition back into her world. You wrote this very well.

Good job.

I don't think we'll be seeing them again, Rebecca, but hopefully, you will like the new characters in the next book. I felt sad, too. My characters become real people to me, and saying goodbye is hard. Thank you so very much for this lovely review, my friend, and for all those lovely stars! Biggest hugs. Sandra xxxxx

Hi Sandra, I like the way you have Joe introducing Francis to Jacob. The story continues in the same vein with excellent characterisation and interaction between characters. Good luck, I'm sure you'll do well with book two.

Last part tomorrow, Mel! That makes 2 out of the 3. I still have problems believing it's happening. This whole thing started off as a 5000 word short story. I forgot to stop! Thank you so much for all your lovely reviews, my friend. Big hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

Wonderful meeting between Jacob and Francis. It gives him his father while leaving him with the only family he's known.

You've handled this time travel so well. It's as though you've experienced it yourself. You haven't, have you? If you have, take me with you next time. LOL

I started to read this Wednesday evening but I was so tired I couldn't concentrate and knew I wasn't giving this post justice. I am so glad I waited. This is very good and you continue to do a good job writing.

Aw, thank you Barbara, that was so nice of you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll be posting the penultimate part tomorrow, and then the very last part on Tuesday, with a huge twist to lead into the 3rd book of the trilogy. All this started as a 6000 word short story! lol. Thanks again, my dear friend. :) Sandra. xxx

Ah, Sandra, what a lovely chapter this is. Satisfying loose ends being tied up with Francis, Joe and Rosie.

I tried to read with an eagle eye. I couldn't find any corrections.

Well done!

You set the scene beautifully, Sandra. I could imaging everyone's expression in Rosie's sitting room when Jacob walked into the room, and afterwards when she was chatting away as she told him more about his son.
I love it when Veronica time travels more than once in a chapter. It's like looking through different windows, and brings the reader up to speed with everything that's going on.
As for Mildred....
I can't wait to find out!

I thought I reviewed this already but I guess I just read it and forgot. Anyway another fine chapter. Nice to see Francis meeting his father and knowing his son by his resemblance. I do hope Mildred is going to be okay. ={ Great writing as always. Rox

Very strange story but I must say that I do like it. The words flow very well. I like the part where the man meets his son for the first time. However, it is totally weird. Thanks for sharing. And , weird in a good way.

I would be strange to anyone coming in at this late stage, the scene was set in the first book and continued in this one. The first was published in November last year, and this one only has two more parts and the second in the trilogy will be finished. (Bar the editing) It's nice of you to read this part, I'm glad you thought it weird in a good way! LOL. Big hugs. Sandra xxx

Okay, I see said the blind man, I reckon the last chapter would be weird in any occurrence. It is great to hear from you. And, Hugs to you also. XXX

Hello Sandra,
Another excellent chapter for your wonderful book.
Of course Lady Gwendolyn has white hair, she's a ghost! lol
I don't recall any mention of her hair, previously, but in the picture, she's definitely brunette.
Besides, if she were albino, her brother would have been used to albinos.

I like the portrayal of Jacob. It is consistent with the earlier image of him.
It seems the story is coming full circle to a satisfying conclusion with a
perfect light, rhyming touch on the ending.

Naturally, the author will throw in some intriguing twist that will lead to the next book lol.

Well done, my friend, well done.

Robert

Hi, Robert. Thank you for another of your lovely reviews. The description of Gwendolyn is in the earlier parts, when Veronica was looking for Francis. It was just before she died and begged Meg to bring Francis to her. Yes, Sir John would have noticed if she'd had red eyes, but researching it, not all albinos have them. I left it hanging in this part because if anyone knowing about albinos happened to read this book they would have questioned it, because both parents have to carry the gene for a full albino to burst onto the scene. I didn't want to go into the whole question of albinism as this is a work of fiction but I needed to add enough to cover myself.

I'm glad you liked my last line, lol. You know me too well, my friend. Of course I'm going to add a hook at the end! I'll tell you, but keep it a secret. The powers that be are actually Veronica's children, and they have been manipulating their 'mother' since the beginning of the first book from their office in the sky. But, they don't like the way James keeps interfering, so they are going to turn him into parrot squawking in a cage. Then, realising Veronica and Mildred are getting all the limelight, they are plotting some heinous deed to frighten them off, so they get the centre stage.... I won't tell you any more, it might spoil it for you!!! LOL.

Thank you so much for the lovely 6 stars, too, my friend. As always, your reviews are excellent! Big hugs :)) Sandra xxx

That sounds like a great plot for a book. I don't want to spoil your afternoon, but it sounds a lot like the Trump family, squawking parrot and all.

-A very touching chapter, Sandra,
because it is all about family.
-The resemblance of Francis and Jacob
is striking, and Gwendolyn's features
even come into Ver.'s mind.
-Jacob is so proud of his son, but
he knows that it is not possible nor
in the best interest of Francis to take him.
-It almost brought a tear to my eye when
Ver. said good by to Joe.
-He and Daveth have been such a huge
part of this book; I will miss them all.
-But that thing called reality is
the way it is meant to be.
-It is nice to see Ver. back with her own family.
-Mildred ends the chapter very well:
" 'Oh Lordy, I got me own walking, talking, walking stick!'

Thank you, Pam, for this wonderful review and all those shiny stars!! I love the ones you add to the bottom of your review. I know what you mean about saying goodbye to Joe and Daveth, it was the same when she said goodbye to Mrs Humphries, Lady Ann and Peter. I wonder if the characters in the final book in the trilogy will take off like they all did. (I'm still not sure if it will be the end. I've grown quite attached to them all.) Anyway, just two parts to go and then the big edit will start. It's not too bad this time, because you've given me loads of help, for which I thank you so much. Thank you again, dear friend. Big hugs. Sandra. :) xxxxx
