This is an excellent entry into the Lullaby contest. The end and internal rhyme enhance the rhythmic flow of this poem. The sounds are gentle, soft and soothing. At first I thought this was going to be a humorous lullaby because of the intro is an oxymoron, cool warmth. Well done.

Lullaby I think are short to remember and sing. Babies are not capable of perceiving a story just calming words of assurance and a simple melody. Or that was my approach. Looking at entries length and complexity seemed preferred. Better for an adult target audience. But it was a fun contest.
