Bwahaha! "The youngest one was odd" -Too funny! I grew up listening to that theme, LOL. Only thing I could offer is to go for the original rhythm... And then one day when these sponges met each other, and they sensed it [[wasn't instead of was?]] just another... Good fun!

I have to admit, I like this unusual song, just like I have to admit I had to look up a lot of these terms to understand them! The teacher in you shines through as you seek to educate as well as entertain your reader. Love it!

LOL! I like it. The Spongy Bunch. I'd watch that for sure. Your silly poems always have an educational side, like this for example:
they're all basal diploblasts
with two germ layers
in fingers, puffs, or cone.
I may not know what that means, but at least I have a clue now. Basal diploblasts, eh? They sound very intelligent! :)

I really enjoyed your poem, Bill and getting to meet Koham, bringing up a family of sponges, three thirsty porous pods. Their function was to filter ocean food. One of the sweet pods was a little odd. Kohan met another sponge called Kersiz who was raising a family also all of which were basal diploblasts. Two germ layers belong to them in fingers, puff, and cone.
They all form a sponge array!
Learned a lot from this and thanks for sharing!

Brilliant, Bill. I'm not terribly familiar with the Brady Bunch song, but this definitely has the elements of the parts I do remember and the family combined.

I must be too young! I don't remember watching "The Brady Bunch," and couldn't sing along to the tune. Very colorful, and I admire the energy you put into the sponges. You're really absorbed in them. I saw a place in Florida where they did sponge diving, but I any sponge we use is man-made. This does has some educational features, such as the description of the sponges. You'll have to collect all your material in a book of poems. judi
