I am much scarier Ha Ha No I do have a serious side and don't really tolerates fools very well I like humour but false people I do not like and can see through someone pretty quickly . This could have been written by me or about me! Are you sure you were not looking deep into my brain when you where writing this? hmmm...

I have had a psychiatrist tell me before that I am borderline paranoid when it comes to friends. It shocked me at the time, but then I realized it's true. I have a lot of friends - even good friends, but rarely deep friendships. I let people get only soooo close, and then start to back off. It's a coping mechanism, I suppose -- subconsious training from all the times in my life I've been hurt by those closest to me. Isn't that rather sad?

Anyway, as you can see, your poem really struck a chord with me.

I only found one true nit that I thought I might point out:
1.) And (i)f I find you've really tried,

2.) but it did trouble my OCD personality tht you didn't have end stops or other punctuation at the ends of your sentences... But that's okay... I'm moving on, now. I'll TRY to leave this message behind. *smile*

Oh my dear Robyn Thank you so much .Firstly have made corrections and I had a psychic reading a few years ago and the person was very accurate and did tell me that at times I am very hard to please and some people find me difficult to get to know although I am totally the social butterfly as well and mix very well in unfamiliar circumstances so I am not sure perhaps I am an Oxymoron (my new poem just posted LOL)

Like you I have lots of friends but only a handful that I want to spend more time with and can be quite happy in my own company so once again weird !!

I don't tolerate fools well and can see through falseness pretty quickly and have never been fond of authority even at school I would get into trouble a bit defiant at times however on the other hand I do like things done correctly to the point where my kids learn't very quickly to 'close off their meals correctly' with their knife and fork in the correct positions. How anal LOL
And I do expect people to do the right thing by me and hate liars and cheats and impatient rude people who wont' wait their turn or those who rattle bags and make noises during a movie and don't get me started on mobile phones Oh dear I could go on forever LOL

Anyway I think we would hit it off nicely and who know one day . So Robyn Thank you so much and I do appreciate you time Cheers Chtistine

Oh my goodness, such a stern and determined picture Christine. This was indeed to the point, almost cut throat. It was interesting to read because it had such a warning yet determined nature.
