Beautiful presentation for this poem that is exceptionally well written with lots and lots of both imagery and emotions. The reader really enjoyed the read.

Christine,

This is the second ANZAC poem I have seen today -- wonderful efforts to make sure that we all remember and respect those men and women who have helped fight to make sure the world stays the safe place it currently is. I've just been watching some documentaries sharing some of these facts. Very impressive!

Thank you!

Hi Robyn, Thank you and yes Anzac day has special significance in Australia and all school kids grow up knowing what it means and attend services I took my 10 year old granddaughter to the 100 year service a couple of years ago and wore my uncles medals it was very moving. A special day shared between us so I also acknowledge this day and pleased you saw our poems (Roy's was lovely too) Cheers Christine

Well done Christine, l loved this acrostic, for Anzac I put, Australia and NZ armed forces, I think your's is the correct one, but the other two legs were left out. Beautifully done, a great comprehensive write on, you included others in the conflict, not just Aussies. One would think we were the only forces there, same at Tobruk, I thought there was only Aussies there until I looked it up. Well done, wonderful post, blessjngs, Roy

When dad was alive, it was his once -a -year day. And about midday, I had to pick him up from the local RSL, with his mate Arthur, they were always in a state. I miss those days. Bless you Roy

This was well done and very much enjoyed, Christine. I loved the format especially with some of the letters you used. I have a temporary neighbor that is from New Zealand so it was good that I could share a tiny piece of knowledge. Well done, thanks for sharing.

Christine--I am learning so much from you, about your life and about your history. I saw the picture of the poppy and thought about WWI, but I was not aware of ANZAC day or what occurred just over 100 years ago. Thank you so much for this lesson!

A very well-written acrostic poem about ANZAC day remembrance. Each war we fight small or big have consequences and no one will freely agree to making war.

Hi Chrissy, what a lovely acrostic in remembrance of Anzac Day, today, and you have told the story very succinctly. That together with your author notes is a lovely dedication to all the men who fought and those who died fighting for freedom. Gorgeous picture, one lovely poppy, and the overall display is gorgeous. Warm regards Dorothy xx

Great acrostic Christine. I still maintain that if history were taught in this poetic form, more students would take a massive interest in the subject.

That would be me. I didn't know about Anzac Day, and now I have a little better idea.

Very much enjoyed.

Gloria
