My son traveled to San Francisco four years or so ago, he got robbed the second day he was there. Yep, swallowing a pill could take away the feeling of reality, ergo the small town feel, just kidding. Thanks for sharing

My ex also lived there. Such adventures she had. I too was too young. But has there ever been a time when culture and substance drove so much change in society. Thanks for bringing the time back to life.

God, you just made all this ... angst I have run through my veins again with vigor, and resentment, lol. I was born in 1963 so I'm the very last year of baby boomers, I think, and if I'd been just about six years older I would have been at Woodstock, at Haight, so many places and events I just missed.

1966 saw a hippie revolution in the Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco. It spawned the hippie movement. It was called the summer of love because hippies just wanted peace

Lol. Well, I'm sure it is a different place now compared to the 1960's but in that context, I can see what the "pill" refers to. Great use of internal rhymes and the assonance of the long "e" sound.

A very well-written Lune and an excellent photo of the San Francisco bridge. It is the most photographed bridge as far as I know and everytime it is a feast for the eyes.
